Training for Developers: Object-Oriented Design and .NET Development

Overview
This three-day, hands-on course provides you with the information you need to design and develop great .NET applications. It presents an introduction to the object-oriented features of Visual Basic .NET, then takes it a step further to more advanced topics such as connecting objects to a database using ADO.NET, architecting Windows and Web applications, building components, and building applications for the Web (ASP.NET).

Instructor
Deborah Kurata is cofounder of InStep Technologies Inc., a professional consulting firm that focuses on turning your business vision into reality using Microsoft .NET technologies. She has over 15 years of experience in architecting, designing and developing successful applications.

Deborah is the author of several books, including 'Best Kept Secrets in .NET' (Apress), 'Doing Objects in Visual Basic 6.0' (SAMS) and 'Doing Web Development: Client-Side Techniques' (Apress). She is on the INETA Speaker's Bureau, is a well-known speaker at technical conferences, is co-chair of the East Bay.NET user group, and is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP).

 

Location
The course will be held in Pleasanton, CA. Pleasanton is approximately 30 miles East of San Francisco and 30 miles North of San Jose. You can fly into San Francisco, San Jose, or Oakland airport, with Oakland being the closest.

 

You will need
To participate in the hands-on activities, you will need to bring your laptop with .NET loaded.
